Eduarda Rovisco obtained her PhD in Anthropology from ISCTE-IUL (2010), with the thesis Não Queirais Ser Castelhana: Fronteira e Contrabando na Raia do Concelho de Idanha-a-Nova. She has conducted ethnographic fieldwork in Portugal and Spain on smuggling, border and nationalism, and in Cape Verde on tourism, handicraft and national identity. Between 2011 and 2017, she was a post-doctoral research fellow at CRIA, where she is currently a full researcher.
