I'm an associate researcher at CIS-Iscte and a lecturer at the University of Sussex. I conduct research at the intersections of social justice and environmental issues, with a focus on community participation and political engagement. Topics in my current research include climate change and youth political imaginaries; social movements and activism;  community-based initiatives and empowerment; social inclusion and interventions to strengthen civic participation of young people. I study these issues by following interdisciplinary approaches, applying community psychology principles, and using mixed methods.
