Marta Neves holds a Master’s degree in Data Science and is currently a PhD candidate in Information Science and Technology at Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon. Her research focuses on Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Large Language Models (LLMs), exploring advanced data analytics methodologies and the application of data science techniques to transform information into actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.

Professionally, she is a Senior Data Scientist at Galp, where she develops advanced Data Science and Machine Learning solutions, with a particular focus on predictive modelling and data analytics applied to the energy sector. Previously, she worked at novobanco, contributing to digital transformation, predictive analytics, and data-driven process optimisation projects. She began her professional career at PwC, where she gained experience in applying analytical methodologies and data-driven solutions across different business contexts.

Alongside her professional and research activities, she is also involved in teaching at Iscte, particularly in the areas of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
