Nelson Santos António is a Full Professor at ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon where he teaches and chair Strategy, Quality Management and Philosophy of Science. He holds a PhD in Management by the Schumpeter School of Business and Economics, Bergishe University, Wuppertal, Germany and a Bachelor degree in Finance by the University of Lisbon. He is Director of ISCTE´s PhD Program in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and also of the University´s DBA program. He is a member of ISCTE´s Scientific Council, a researcher at the Center of International Studies and at ISCTE´s Business Research Center.
He currently teaches Strategic Management and Global Strategy at ISCTE´s doctoral program with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, and Strategic Management and Public Private Partnerships at ISCTE´s doctoral program with Shouthern Medical University, Guangzhou. From 1982 t0 1985 he earned a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Services - Deutscher Akademisher Austausch Dienst (DAAD)- and from 1991 to 1999 he was the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Macau and served as consultant to the University of Wuyi, Jiangmen. Along is career he has been teaching in several continents (Africa, Asia, Europe and South America) and has been a Visiting Professor at several universities among which Xi´an Jiatong University, Sun Yatsen University, University of Rennes 1 and University of Paris, 1, Sorbonne. He has published in the United States, Brazil, Portugal, China and Germany. His several articles and books mainly focus on Strategy, Knowledge Management, Business Social Responsability, Quality Management and Models of African Management.
