Rita R. Silva was awarded her in PhD in Social Psychology in 2014 by ISPA - Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas Sociais e da Vida, in Portugal. Currently, she is a Researcher at CIS-IUL - Center for Social Research and Intervention (ISCTE-IUL). She works in the area(s) of Social Sciences with emphasis on Psychology, focusing on the topics of Fluency, Truth Assessment, Repetition, Familiarity, Trustworthiness, Consumer judgments, Recognition memory, and Online contexts. She has published over 20 articles in top tier, peer-reviewed scientific journals. She acts/has acted as Principal Investigator in 5 research projects, and has been awarded 2 research fellowships. She regularly teaches courses in the area of Social and Cognitive Psychology as an Invited Professor at different institutions (e.g., ISPA - Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas Sociais e da Vida; University of Lisbon; University of Cologne). She has supervised and co-supervised 6 Master dissertations. She regularly reviews manuscripts for renown international scientific journals in Psychology (e.g., Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance; Psychological Science; Journal of Experimental Social Psychology; Journal of Cognitive Psychology; Journal of Behavioral Decision Making; Consciousness and Cognition). She participates in jury committees for Doctoral and Master degrees and has been involved in the organization of 5 national and international scientific meetings. In her professional activities, she has interacted with 34 collaborators. She has received 4 awards and/or honors.
