Architect, Master in Architecture, and PhD candidate in Architecture of Contemporary Metropolitan Territories at Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon. Her doctoral project, funded by the MIT Portugal Program, focuses on the development of methodologies and digital tools to support the assessment and comparison of construction and renovation solutions, with an emphasis on the integration of Building Information Modelling, Life Cycle Assessment, energy performance, and data-driven decision support.
She is an Invited Assistant at the Department of Digital Technologies of Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon and a Researcher at the ISTAR Research Centre, where she has collaborated on several national and international projects, including the SECClasS and ATHENA – University Goes Digital for a Sustainable Global Education projects. Her research focuses on the digital and sustainable transformation of the AECO sector, exploring the role of automation, openBIM, and software development in improving design, assessment, and decision-making processes in construction.
She has experience in the development of software for construction, including the creation of add-ons and plugins for BIM tools using Python and C#, API integration, openBIM workflows, information management, process automation, and parametric simulation. She has published scientific articles and book chapters in the fields of BIM-LCA, embodied carbon, sustainable construction, circular economy, automation, interoperability, and digital methods for decision support in the AECO sector. She also holds complementary training in energy efficiency, sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship, including the LEED GA and LEED AP BD+C certifications, the MIT Portugal Innovation Workshop, and the TechLaunch Program at the University of Texas at Austin – Cockrell School of Engineering.
She has also collaborated, in a consulting capacity, with companies in the architecture, engineering, and construction sectors, supporting the adoption of digital tools and more efficient and sustainable working processes.
