Teresa Patricio is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Policy of the School of Sociology and Public Policy at ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon. She holds a PhD in Sociology from Rutgers The State University of New Jersey in the USA. Her main areas of research are in social change and development and in science, technology and higher education policy. She was a Fulbright scholar at the Center for the Study of Higher Education at Penn State University in the USA and visiting researcher at the Centre interuniversitaire de recherche sur la science et la technologie at the University of Québec in Montreal, Canada. She has national and international science policy experience. She is Director of the Center for Research and Study of Sociology (CIES-IUL) since 2020, and Co-Director of the SocioDigital lab for Public Policy since 2021.
