Phd student in Public Policies at ISCTE-IUL, develops research in the topics of cultural policies, cultural organisations and public governance. Graduated in Cultural Sciences (FLUL, 2014), and holds a Master's degree in Municipal Cultural Practices (FCSH-UNL, 2017). He's a member of Comunidade Cultura e Arte. Between 2017-2019 developed work in the research team of the project "250 Anos da Imprensa Nacional" (INCM), and between 2020-2021 was external collaborator of IPPS-ISCTE (Public and Social Policy Institute) on some projects.
His PhD research focuses on the relationship between the portuguese central government and the cultural organisations under its direct dependency, analysing the underlying tensions and detecting how their different autonomy degrees and administration models impact the public governance of the cultural sector. Title of the thesis: “Governance of Culture: institutional relationships between the Portuguese Ministry of Culture and cultural organizations under its dependence"
The PhD research is currently being funded by FCT (Nov 2022 - Oct 2025). He was distinguished with a Merit Scholarship for PhD Students attributed by ISCTE-IUL (May 2022 - Oct 2022) and an Internal Scholarship for Phd Students attributed by ESPP/ISCTE-IUL (Sep 2021 - Apr 2022).
