Abstract
A avaliação formativa é um processo eminentemente pedagógico, tão integrado quanto possível nos processos de ensino e aprendizagem, tendencialmente contínuo, cujo principal e fundamental propósito é apoiar e melhorar as aprendizagens dos alunos. É através da avaliação formativa que os professores recolhem informações para proporcionar feedback aos seus alunos que os apoie nos seus esforços de aprendizagem. Assim, a avaliação formativa exige uma outra forma de trabalhar nas salas de aula, com os alunos mais ativos e participativos na resolução das tarefas propostas pelos professores.
