Abstract
Hannah Arendt (1906-1975), jornalista, filósofa, teórica política, judia laica, professora universitária, nascida na Alemanha, detida pela Gestapo (polícia secreta do Estado alemão criada em 1933), emigrante forçada em Paris, prisioneira no campo de concentração nazi de Gurs em França (antigo campo de refugiados da Guerra Civil espanhola), apátrida e exilada sem direitos políticos até 1951 quando adquiriu a cidadania norte-americana, foi responsável por uma das obras de referência do século XX, As Origens do Totalitarismo (1951).
