Abstract
Ce chapitre analyse divers scénarios de transition vers une économie de l’hydrogène, en identifiant les principales propositions formulées à différentes étapes de l’histoire (marchés cibles, centralisation, infrastructures, etc). En comparant 14 processus de transition technologique dans plusieurs secteurs (communication, transport, énergie), les résultats montrent la lenteur des substitutions technologiques, notamment dans les transports et l’industrie. Le succès récent de la voiture électrique en Norvège illustre l’importance de la baisse des coûts par rapport au développement des infrastructures. Le chapitre propose des stratégies pour accélérer la transition vers l’hydrogène.
