Abstract
A Guiné-Bissau enfrenta desafios significativos na implementação e proteção dos direitos sexuais e reprodutivos. Apesar dos compromissos internacionais e de alguns esforços nacionais, várias barreiras socioculturais, económicas e políticas continuam a impedir a implementação destes direitos. Este texto explora o estado atual dos direitos sexuais e reprodutivos na Guiné-Bissau, examinando os principais obstáculos e potenciais caminhos para a melhoria seguidos pelas organizações da sociedade civil. Baseia-se num estudo qualitativo alargado, que incluiu 36 entrevistas a elementos das principais ONG e agências das Nações Unidas a trabalhar no sector, médicos e enfermeiros de saúde pública, e grupos focais com agentes comunitários de saúde.
