Abstract
This research was conducted as a pretest-posttest experimental study to evaluate the effect of group intervention based on the cognitive-existential approach on 26 women aged 26–62 living with obesity. The Personal Information Form, Beck Depression Scale, Obesity and Weight-Loss Quality of Life Instrument (OWLQL-17), Three Factor Eating Questionnaire (TFEQ-R21), Existential Anxiety Scale were administered to the study group as pre-test and post-test. At the end of the group intervention, it was observed that there was a significant difference in the total and subscale scores of the all scales of women with obesity in the experimental group. In this regard, studies on people with obesity are important and it is necessary to improve the existing well-being and quality of life of people with obesity with different interventions and practices.
