Dulce Morgado Neves completed her PhD in Sociology at ISCTE in 2013, with the dissertation “Intimacy and Sexual Life: changes and continuities from a gender and generational perspective”. She is an integrated researcher at CIES-Iscte, and her work focuses on gender, sexuality, childbirth, the transition to parenthood, and social movements.
She is currently developing the research project “Reproduction in Change: five decades of Policies, Rights and Experiences of Reproductive Health in Portugal”, and is the local coordinator of the international project “IPOV - Respectful Care”, funded by the European Union.
She is also the coordinator of the Laboratory for Social Studies on Childbirth – nascer.pt, a permanent research structure created in 2017 and integrated within CIES-Iscte.
