Research Assistant at DINAMIA'CET-Iscte and Phd candidate in Public Policy at ISCTE-IUL, researching about cultural policiy and the cultural sector. Graduated in Cultural Sciences (FLUL) and holds a Master's degree in Municipal Cultural Practices (FCSH-UNL).
He is a researcher on the monitoring and impact evaluation team for Évora_27 - European Capital of Culture, responsible for the Study on the Economy of Culture, Economic Impact, and Territorial Value, as well as the Study on European Dimension, International Notoriety, and Visibility. He is also part of the Strategies for Culture for the Lisbon Metropolitan Area project, which aims to diagnose the region's cultural landscape and outline strategic guidelines for its development.
His ongoing PhD research - “Governance of Culture: institutional relationships between the Portuguese Ministry of Culture and cultural organizations under its dependence" - characterizes the political-administrative relations between the central cultural authority and its dependent organizations, relating them to the organizations' autonomy and the models that impact their governance and the implementation of public policies. The research was funded by the FCT (2022-2025) and the Merit Scholarship for 3rd Cycle Students at ISCTE-IUL (2022). He was also awarded the Internal 3rd Cycle Scholarship from ESPP/ISCTE-IUL (2021-2022).
He frequently collaborates at the media outlet Comunidade Cultura e Arte and and has designed public cultural policies as a "citizen-deputy" on the Culture Committee of the Citizen Commissions project (Os 230 Association). He was a scientific consultant at the Portuguese National Press (INCM) and an external collaborator at IPPS-Iscte on several projects.
