This study analyses how Évora 2027 – European Capital of Culture contributes to strengthening the European dimension of the programme, transnational cooperation, the circulation of artists, projects and audiences, as well as the international awareness and external visibility of Évora, the Alentejo Central sub-region and the Alentejo region. The research uses a mixed-methods approach, combining secondary data analysis, internal programme indicators, surveys, interviews, focus groups and participatory workshops to assess the effects of the cultural and artistic programme on the European and international projection of the territory.
