Member of the Portuguese Order of Social Workers – Professional License No. 00319 | Social Worker, associate founder, and President of the National Street Soccer Association NGO - Portugal (Associação Nacional de Futebol de Rua). Holding a PhD in Social Work, worked as an FCT Research Fellow at CLISSIS (Lusíada Centre for Research in Social Work and Social Intervention) at Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa — an institution where collaboration continues, having formerly served as a board member and coordinator of the ‘Social Policies and Citizenship’ research group. Integrated researcher at CEJEIA (Centre for Legal, Economic, International and Environmental Studies), coordinating the ‘Social Rights and Social Intervention’ research line since November 2025. Currently serving as Assistant Professor at the Higher Institute of Social Work of Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa, Guest Assistant Professor at the Laboratory of Transversal Skills at ISCTE-IUL, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Intervenção Social journal. Previous teaching activity includes lecturing at Universidade Lusófona do Porto and teaching in the degree in Social Work at Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa since 2008. Completed a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2008 at the Higher Institute of Social Work of Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa, and a degree in Social Work in 2003 at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Between 2003 and 2008, directed the Social Action Office of Associação CAIS, having co-founded the socio-sporting methodology of Street soccer in Portugal in 2004.
