Supporting a novel mixed-methods approach, the project addresses the following gaps in party pledges research: how parties design their manifestos and fulfill them; why minority governments comply more; whether there is a difference in compliance depending on the social group; and what are the consequences of non-fulfillment on accountability and polarization. The team has the diversity of scientific skills required.
