Abstract
O Mar é um dos elementos-chave no combate às alterações climáticas. Aliás, a grande maioria dos países europeus com faixa costeira tem no mar o objetivo de dinamizar a chamada “economia azul”, enquanto pretendem preservar os ecossistemas naturais. Contudo, há um problema: a falta de literacia sobre a economia do mar é uma realidade num país com uma ligação imemorial ao oceano. A Ambiente Magazine falou com Pedro Quartin Graça, diretor do Mestrado em Governação e Sustentabilidade do Mar (MGSM) do Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. O docente sublinhou as mais valias deste novo curso que visa contribuir para a formação de quadros qualificados e para o desenvolvimento do conhecimento e investigação científica sobre a governação do mar à luz dos princípios de um desenvolvimento sustentável.
