Abstract
Ligada, sobretudo, à atividade piscatória, Sesimbra evoluiu, a partir da última metade do século XX para destino turístico, alterando as suas caraterísticas físicas e sociais. É, neste quadro, que a presente dissertação se insere, visando o estudo das vulnerabilidades sociais e perceção de risco dos residentes do seu Núcleo Antigo, aferindo a importância da inclusão dessa informação no planeamento de emergência, e o envolvimento da população em ações na redução do risco.
