Abstract
We present LUMIRing, the largest terrestrial multicore fiber (MCF) testbed, deployed in the demanding environment of the Lisbon underground. The infrastructure integrates five MCF types and supports long-distance emulation, enabling real-world evaluation of space division multiplexing systems and flexible network topologies. We report recent experimental measurements, highlighting key transmission and physical-layer characteristics of the testbed.
