Abstract
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operate in increasingly competitive and resource-constrained environments, where achieving operational excellence requires not only internal optimisation but also strategic engagement with external actors. Coopetition—defined as the simultaneous cooperation and competition between firms—has emerged as a potential mechanism for enhancing operational capabilities while maintaining market positioning. However, empirical evidence linking coopetition practices to operational excellence outcomes remains limited. This study investigates how coopetition strategies influence operational excellence in SME business environments.
