Abstract
Die Studie rekurriert auf drei theoretische Bezugslinien: Elitetheorien, die Bildungssoziologie im Umkreis von Bourdieu sowie Theorien der Organisationssoziologie und Schulkulturtheorie. Der Abschnitt zu den Elitetheorien untersucht klassische Theorien, funktionalistische Theorien sowie Theorien einer Machtelite. Daran anschließend wird die Bildungssoziologie von Bourdieu mit Fokus auf seine Werke zur (Re-)Produktion des Machtfelds in den Blick genommen. Es folgt eine Diskussion der Konzepte der organisationalen Identität sowie der (Hoch-)Schulkultur. Auf Grundlage der vorgestellten Bezugselemente wird die theoretische Heuristik der Studie entwickelt: das Konzept des institutionellen Habitus.
