Sociologist, Assistant Professor at ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa | School of Sociology and Public Policy, Department of Sociology; Researcher at the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology (CIES-IUL). Director of the ISCTE Soft Skills Lab and member of the Scientific Committee of CIES-IUL. In 2019, she organised the recruitment and assessment strategy of ISCTE-IUL candidates wishing to access higher education within the scope of special contingents, namely adults (over 23 years of age) and international students. She is President of the Deontology Council of APS, Portuguese Sociological Association; Coordinator of the of the Management Board of SNESup, National Union of Higher Education. Throughout her research career, she has participated in teams of national and international scientific projects and consultancies, invested in specific sociological issues, such as social classes and social inequalities; the characterization of living conditions of higher education students; social change and lifestyles"; "Ageing and well-being"; "the role of the State in promoting equity", among others. Currently, she is the representative of CIES-IUL in the PASSDA Management Structure, ESS-ERIC: National Roadmap for research infrastructures of strategic interest for 2014-2020; She is de PI of  the Research Project "Territories of Inequality and Social Welfare" (CIES-ISCTE; FFMS).
