Catarina Pinheiro Carreira The general theme will focus on emotions in the workplace, as they play a significant role in the work context. It is in the workplace that individuals perform a set of functions that require skills, and simultaneously manifest and manage their emotions (i.e., individuals can show various emotions towards the organization and the function they perform, and these do not correspond to what they really feel, and there is a change and/or abandonment of their own emotions) (Espírito Santo & Sousa, 2020). In view of this, research will contribute to understanding this factor in the relationship between perceived organizational support and performance. In recent years, there has been an increase and curiosity about emotions in the organizational field, more specifically in the workplace context (Hökkä et al., 2020).
