Sociologist, PhD in Sociology, researcher at CIES, Visiting Assistant Professor at Iscte, Visiting Adjunct Professor at Escola Superior de Educação de Santarém, Pedagogical Coordinator of the STEAM Academies Project, PRR Amadora, Local Integrated Operations (Encosta do Sol and Mina de Água). 

Research projects in sociology related to adult education, training, and lifelong learning, focusing on less educated adults. 

PhD project entitled: Staying Out: Contexts, Processes, Dispositions and Reflexivities of Adults with Little Schooling Who Have Not Resumed Formal Education.

Her academic career began with a degree in Sociology (2005). It continued with a Master's degree in Sociology (ISCTE-IUL, 2015), whose dissertation was entitled: The dispositions of adults with low levels of Schooling towards lifelong learning.

Throughout her academic career, she has collaborated in the organisation and production of international events (ESHMS 17th biennial Conference (2018); Third International Conference of Young Urban Researchers (2018); ICSS XVIII - Lisbon (2019)); reviewing scientific articles for Revista Interações (since 2020). Participation as a researcher in CIES projects (since 2020) related to lifelong learning.

In another dimension of her academic career, she has been a Visiting Assistant Professor at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém (since 2018), in undergraduate and master's programmes, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at ISCTE's Transversal Skills Laboratory (since 2023).

As a lecturer, she has organised various teaching seminars:

  • social research methods and techniques in master's programmes (Digital Educational Resources; Sociology; School Administration) at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém (since 2019). 
  • mediation and conflict management in Social Education degrees at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém. 

She has been a trainer for the Upskills programme (Iscte and IEFP) - between 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 - in the area of transversal skills for the labour market. 

Between 2022 and 2024, she worked as a researcher and consultant for IPPS on various projects for the diagnosis, development and evaluation of public policies (PRR) and was a member of the team that updated the competency references (Units of Competence) for Lot 3 (services) for ANQEP.

Between 2023 and 2024, she coordinated 164 projects in different areas of social intervention and community development in two PRRs in the municipalities of Amadora and Sintra.

Her professional experience in the field of education and training for young people and adults includes training, mediation, recruitment, guidance and referral, coordination and counselling (New Opportunities Initiative; Vocational Training Centres and Schools; Professional Associations) and the coordination of a psycho-pedagogical support office.
