Abstract
O Ensino e Formação Profissional (EFP) em Portugal é marcado pela procura crescente do ensino técnico-profissional na década de 1960, tendência reforçada na década de 1980 e consolidada em 2004 aquando da Reforma do Ensino Secundário, posicionando o EFP em destaque no sistema educativo português. Segundo a OCDE (2018), esta tendência mantém-se, estando Portugal “atualmente a apostar fortemente no ensino profissional como alternativa ao percurso educativo mais tradicional. De facto, a meta proposta aponta para uma divisão equitativa dos alunos do ensino secundário pelos dois percursos”. Contudo, os efeitos da pandemia COVID-19 estão a revolucionar a forma como o EFP é abordado e implementado em Portugal e no mundo.
