Dean of Iscte-Sintra (School of Applied Digital Technologies) since July 2025, following her participation in the School’s Founding Committee between 2022 and 2025. During this period, she held several academic and management roles, including Vice-President of the Interim Pedagogical Committee, member of the Interim Scientific Committee, coordinator of the implementation of distance learning at Iscte-Sintra, Director of the Bachelor’s degree in Educational Digital Technologies, and Director of the Master’s programme in Digital Transformation in Teaching and Learning. She also coordinated several curricular units in the areas of programming, education, and educational digital technologies.
She is an Associate Professor at Iscte and holds a PhD in Education, specialising in Information and Communication Technologies in Education. She also has a background in Computer Engineering.
Her research focuses on the digital transformation of education, with particular emphasis on Technology-Enhanced Learning, artificial intelligence in education, programming education, and digital learning environments. She has authored more than 20 scientific publications in these areas and has participated in several national and international research projects. She is the Principal Investigator of the BRIDGE – Breaking Inequalities in Digital Education project, focused on reducing digital inequalities and developing digital competences in educational contexts.
She regularly collaborates with educational institutions and organisations from different sectors, contributing to pedagogical innovation and the production of applied knowledge in the field of digital education.
