Carta Educativa de Cascais
The main objectives of the project are, firstly, to develop an in-depth diagnostic study of the municipality of Cascais (territorial, demographic and socio-economic projections) and its public and private education system (school network, school population, school performance, educational projects and partnerships); and, secondly, to draw up a technical proposal for an educational charter and a municipal educational strategic plan, a document that falls within the competence of the City Council, which responds to the current challenges facing schools and the needs of the municipality in the field of education, with the aim of promoting school success and the quality of learning, within a framework of strengthening the recursive role of local authorities in the educational system in conjunction with European, national and regional programs and projects; through a multi-method methodology with a strong component of promoting the participation of stakeholders and local actors in the diagnosis and design phases of local education policy and, subsequently, in the implementation/monitoring and final evaluation phases.

Com o presente trabalho pretende-se elaborar a Carta Educativa de Palmela preparando-a para o desenvolvimento de um planeamento estratégico educativo municipal com um alcance mais alargadosobre o sistema educativo local, e não apenas focado na gestão da rede de estabelecimentos, capaz de responder aos atuais desafios da escola e às necessidades do concelho no domínio da educação,tendo como vocação a promoção do sucesso escolar e da qualidade das aprendizagens e a redução do abandono escolar precoce, num quadro de reforço do papel recursivo das autarquias no sistemaeducativo.

Transversal scientific project that includes several research groups from CIES-IUL whose main objective is to relate the problems of social inequalities with different dimensions and sectors of the Portuguese society, based on comparative analysis at the European level. 40 Years Of Educational Policies
The objective of this project is to organize the publication of an anthology book, containing the description and analysis of this long journey of education policies in its various dimensions: the foundations of educational policies, decisions, human, financial and institutional resources that were being mobilized, through the identification and recognition of the role of different actors, including international organizations, and with the backdrop of the developments in the national and European political context.

Educational Challenges in Southern Europe. Equity and efficiency in a time of crisis
The project is focused on five major areas over which the impacts of the crises will be more closely assessed: the initial education and training; the institutional paths for transition from school/training to work; adult education and lifelong learning; the transparency of qualifications and the articulation between the education and training systems; the structure of services and benefits aiming at guaranteeing universal access to the education and training systems.For each of these five areas, the following key dimensions of analysis are considered: (a) diversity and relative importance of available pathways within the system, (b) curricula; (c) human resources (d) budget and funding circuits; (e) the quantity and quality of physical spaces. Results indicators will be analyzed in all five areas, such as coverage and attainment.

Pilot Study integrated in the evaluation and monitoring process of the Secondary School Modernisation Programme
The study is part of the evaluation and monitoring process of "The Secondary School Modernisation Programme”, having as a central concern to analyze the importance of schools as learning environments, given the principle, set at political level, of equitable access to education and the centrality of knowledge and learning processes in any society. The aim is to analyze the impact of the Secondary Schools Modernisation Program on the socio-educational dynamics and the use and appropriation of the new spaces, in connection with recommendations and proposals for intervention in the Program.
